Albert Domichel: Farmer, Entrepreneur, and Community Pillar
Albert Domichel (1913–1983) was a lifelong resident of the West Valley area and a dedicated farmer, businessman, and property owner. His home and primary business were located at 3112 South Redwood Road, where he cultivated not only crops but also a strong reputation for hard work and integrity. Albert farmed a large wheat field near 3100 South and 1600 West and, together with his brother, managed 10 acres of farmland near 1300 West and 2100 South, continuing the Domichel family’s longstanding agricultural legacy.
Albert was also an entrepreneur beyond the fields. He owned and operated International Salvage Liquidators at 2855 South 3600 West, a prominent scrap yard in the area, and held property at 8719 Redwood Road, further reflecting his business acumen and investment foresight. Albert’s life was marked by determination, hard work, and a commitment to both family and community, leaving a lasting impression on West Valley City’s history.
