Golden Manor: A Trailblazer in Granger Healthcare Since 1964
The Golden Manor Care Center, located in Granger, served as a residential facility for elderly and convalescent patients. Advertisements from the era noted that “inquiries [were] invited from those requiring Federal, Church, or Welfare assistance,” indicating the center’s willingness to work with low-income families and those receiving aid—reflecting its role as a compassionate option for long-term care in the community.
In 1964, the Granger community welcomed the opening of Golden Manor at 4155 W. 3500 South—a state-of-the-art skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that offered more than care... it offered comfort, dignity, and community.
