From Family Home to Marketplace: 2764 W 3500 S Through the Years
The Harvey McDonald / Hazel McRae Home
The home at 2764 West 3500 South, on the corner of 3500 South and 2700 West, was built in 1947 and became a warm and welcoming residence for several families over the years. By 1967, the area was being redeveloped by the Doxey-Layton Company, marking a period of significant commercial growth in the community. The house itself served as a neighborhood landmark for two decades before it was removed in the late 1960s, making way for new developments. Though the building is gone, its memory remains as part of the story of a rapidly changing West Valley City and the families who called it home.
