Beloved Owner of Naylor Equipment, 3930 Redwood Road

Adelbert Naylor—known to everyone as “Dell”—was born in 1918 at home in West Jordan, Utah. Raised on a farm, he learned the value of hard work at a very young age, doing the work of a man by the time he was just nine years old. That early foundation of responsibility and resilience shaped the course of his life.

Dell graduated from Jordan High School, where he was active in sports and the Future Farmers of America, organizations that reflected his natural energy and deep agricultural roots. In 1938, he married Jeannette, and together they raised three children. Family was always at the heart of his life.

Dell was remembered for his warm, outgoing personality that drew people to him and built instant, lasting friendships. Those friendships, built on honesty, integrity, and kindness, became one of his greatest treasures. His love for serving others was not only evident in his personal relationships but also in the way he conducted his business.

For over 50 years, Dell owned and operated Naylor Equipment at 3930 Redwood Road in Granger, supplying farm implements to local families and helping sustain the agricultural backbone of the valley. He later expanded his business interests with Harvestore, a feed and water storage company in Twin Falls, Idaho, where he served customers throughout the western United States. His reputation as a hardworking, reliable, and fair businessman made him a trusted name in the community.

Beyond work, Dell cherished the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and, in later years, traveling extensively with his wife, family, and friends as a snowbird after retirement. Yet no matter where life took him, at his core he remained a farmer at heart. He loved working the soil and took great pride in cultivating a large, beautiful vegetable garden next to his home—tangible proof of his lifelong bond with the land.

Dell’s legacy is one of honesty, friendship, service, and deep community roots. To the people of Granger and beyond, he was not just a successful businessman but a beloved neighbor and friend whose memory continues to bring warmth to all who knew him.
