In 1975, architectural plans were drawn by Richard W. Young and Dave Hunt of Desco for a major addition, reflecting the growing needs of the organization and its mission.

These 1975 blueprints capture an important era of expansion and care, marking the Humane Society’s commitment to protecting and rehoming animals in the West Valley area.

Though the Humane Society has since relocated to 3500 South, the memory of this original building remains a meaningful part of West Valley City’s history—symbolizing decades of kindness, service, and dedication to Utah’s animals
