Spud Adams Country Carpets

He was born William Adams but we just call him Spud Adams.

Spud was born in Idaho but moved to Murray and opened one of the very first carpet stores in Granger in about 1965. Country Carpets was located at 1962 West 3500 South.

Many homes were using the traditional hardwood floors with an area rug in the middle. Spud's Country Carpets came to the area when the trend changed to wall-to-wall, Shag carpets and modern colors for the flooring. 

Spud was always an outstanding businessman.
