Before & After

In October 2001, Jerry Talbot, longtime owner of J&T Skating, transformed his community landmark into the Apple Blossom Wedding and Special Events Center. Once the site of J&T’s roller skating rink—where hundreds of local youths spent safe, fun nights—the building was lovingly restored to host weddings, family reunions, and social gatherings. Talbot preserved the original hardwood floors and added elegant touches including hanging floral arrangements, arches, columns, and tile work, creating a renaissance-inspired space with over 11,000 square feet capable of accommodating 500 guests. The center also features a state-of-the-art sound system, making it ideal for both personal and business events. An open house on October 25th showcased the transformation with wedding displays, free food, and local vendors, highlighting the building’s continuing role as a community hub while honoring its past as a beloved skating rink.
