3502 Redwood: Buzz Burt’s Beeline: A Quarter for Gas and a Handful of Treats
In the mid 60’s you would have pulled into Buzz’s Station . at 3502 Redwood Road
I appreciate Buzz & Patrick Burt for the picture of Buzz's Station
Before he became the well-known owner of Scott’s Drive-In, Buzz Burt was a familiar face at his Beeline Gas Station, where locals could fill their tanks for just a quarter a gallon and leave with a pocket full of treats. The station wasn’t just a place for fuel—it was a neighborhood stop where Buzz’s friendly smile and easy conversation made customers feel like friends.
Long before flipping burgers and serving shakes, Kay-sa-da, and the mushroom thing at Scott’s, Buzz built his reputation on service, good humor, and a knack for creating a welcoming place for the community. His Beeline station was a snapshot of small-town life in its heyday—affordable, friendly, and full of local charm.
Buzz and Caroline Burt served our community in so many ways.
