4208 S 3600 W A Model T and a Family Home: The Early Life of the Bawdens

Elmo and Donna Bawden’s First Home, 4208 West 3600 South
In 1932, Elmo Lambert Bawden and his wife Donna purchased their first home at 4208 West 3600 South. The house came with an unexpected challenge: the previous occupants had let water snakes into the home, where they hibernated under the floorboards. It took Elmo and Donna two years to completely remove them! Outside, Elmo’s custom-built Model T, redesigned for a low profile and seating for three, shows his ingenuity and resourcefulness. This home marks the beginning of their life together and reflects their determination and hard work.
