Mervyn's VF Mall

Mervyn's was an important store in the area. I was always told that the store was earthquake proof, built on rollers. On the 2nd floor you could often feel it vibrate.

Watching this brings a lump to my throat. Big changes like demolishing a building like this are hard for me.

Construction crews are making way for the new Larry H. Miller Megaplex movie theaters at Valley Fair Mall. The final wall of the old Mervyn's building came down with a massive rumble.
